Numbers 28-30: Vows and Offerings

Join Pastor Peter as we get ready to wrap up our study through the book of Numbers. With Moses handing his authority over to Joshua in the previous chapter, the only significant events that will happen from this point forward are the destruction of Midian in chapter 31 and the tribes of Reuben and Gad settling in Gilead in chapter 32. Now, forty years later, both Moses and the people have been living under the Law for an entire generation. This means that Moses, as an old seasoned saint, is giving to his people, and all those who would read this in the future, tried wisdom that has come through practicing these Laws for forty years. Our God is different. When Moses is describing the people’s responsibility to God, woven throughout these passages are God’s commitment to His people. God has promised His people that He would be with them and each sacrifice was a “down payment” on God’s faithfulness. In other words, they sacrificed what they had, believing that God would be faithful to bless them with more! What does God’s word have to say?
