Numbers 32: Strife Between Brothers

Join Pastor Peter as this is the final narrative account for the book of Numbers, the rest of the book is more or less a preamble for the book of Deuteronomy where Moses delivers the law again to the new generation before he passes away and Joshua leads Israel into the promised land. However, before this can happen, there is one small squabble amongst the tribes of Israel. The tribes of Reuben and Gad, upon seeing land that Israel had previously conquered, desired to stay in this land and not occupy land west of the Jordan river with the rest of the nation of Israel. We fight with all our strength to attain to the highest degree of unity that is available to us, even if it isn’t exactly what we would want. But we do this in humility and confidence in God and His desires for us and our relationships! What does God’s word have to say?
