Water from a rock. Why? God uses complex strange miracles because he wants to arrest our attention. He wants us to contemplate and meditate on Him. If it was a simple miracle our attention would just move on. We have the need to be satisfied.

We keep trying to satisfy it with earthly things but we have a spiritual nature that can only be satisfied by God. In the wilderness there is no choice but to be nourished by God.
